Day 13

Aerial tour

sunny 33 °C

Today was spent in the air. We did the “touristy” thing today a chartered a plane from Halls Creek to take us to Wolfe Creek Crater and the Bungle Bungles. The weather was comfortable with only a slight haze so was good for photographs.

It is one thing to drive around this great piece of earth, but seeing it from the air at around 3,000’ is something else. Flying over places we had driven to a day earlier gave a whole different perspective on the places. In a word, a fantastic part of the world.

Words cannot describe this pristine wilderness, and photos just do not do it justice.
